Fall Bucket List 2019: 15 Ideas to Enjoy With Your Family

Fall season is here and as a family blogger aiming to encourage other families to enjoy quality time together I thought it would be a good idea to provide you with my fall bucket list of things to do with my kids. It’s my favorite season and there is so much to do and see!

So, without further ado here is my Fall Bucket List. Enjoy!

1.Visit an apple orchard: Our favorite here in NorCal is Apple Hill! I love to go for a hay ride and taste all the delicious treats made with apple such as the apple donuts and the apple cider. Visit our blog post about The Apple Hill Experience to learn more.

2. Visit a pumpkin patch: Enjoy the family activities, take some good pictures and pick your favorite pumpkins. This will be useful for my next two tips!

5. Read a seasonal book: There’s lots of great seasonal children books! We recently read Shake dem Halloween Bones and the girls loved it!

6. Decorate your home: We recently moved to a new house and I’m having a great time decorating every spot for the season!

7. Get creative: Grab your materials and make some family crafts! We made this wreath arrangement for our windows. Simple and cute!

8. Take family pictures: There’s no better setting for a family photo shoot than that offered by Mother Nature during autumn! This are last year’s pictures. I can’t wait to schedule a photo session for this year! Check my “Best Mom Tips” for making a family photo shoot a successful one!

9. Light seasonal candles: I absolutely love candles -one of my favorite things in the whole world!- and for this season my favorite is Yankee Candle’s “Autumn Wreath”. What’s your favorite?

10. Embrace the weather: go for a walk, play with the fallen leaves, have a cup of pumpkin spice latte outside like I did with my sister Lourdes (and before you ask, no, we’re not twins)!

11. Show off your OOTD: Get your favorite boots and sweaters, or even better go shopping for new ones! Then take some pictures and share your outfit of the day in your social media platforms!

12. Attend fun seasonal events in town: Look for fun special events and get there with your family! Last year attended the “Pumpkin Nights” and it was one of the highlights of the season.

13. Make a family trip: Here in California there’s lots of great destinations such as Lake Tahoe, Disneyland, Legoland, and Monterey. Find your perfect spot close or far from home and build some awesome family memories! This picture was taken at Point Lobos State Reserve in Monterey.

14. Make a fall family meal: Have fun cooking with your family and then invite your extended family over. We made a Puerto Rican dish -Chicken stew, Puerto Rican rice and salad- and invited my mom, my sister, brother in law and nephew. We always have a great time together!

15. Go Trick-or-Treating: Pick a family theme and get coordinated customs for Halloween. Last year we were a Super Hero Family! I was Bat Girl, my hubby was Batman, MM was Wonder Woman and Gigi was Super Girl. It was super fun!

BONUS: A very personal opinion: Get the Flu Shot. I think it’s worth the time and effort.

I hope this helps giving a little inspiration for the season. Drop a comment and let me know what’s your favorite activity and if I haven’t included something you think I should have by all means drop a comment with your recommendations!

Happy Fall and Thanks for reading!
