How To Make The Most Out Of Your ICON Park Play Pass
I know, this sounds like a game-changer! Now, this is important. To make the most of your investment in the ICON Park Play Pass, you should learn what’s included and plan your day accordingly. This will ensure that you can take advantage of all the benefits. The good news is that I’m here to provide you with the scoop on everything you should know. It’s as easy as following these essential tips.
1. Visit All the Attractions Included in the ICON Park Play Pass
It doesn’t matter what your interests or favorite activities are, ICON Park has it all. With the ICON Park Play Pass you will have access to experience seven of their most popular premier attractions:
The Wheel at ICON Park
With The Wheel at ICON Park, you’ll see Orlando like never before. The 400 foot tall Observation wheel offers unparalleled views of the city. The ride takes about 20 minutes and your party will have a cabin
A trip to the iconic amusement park attraction is a great way to start or end a vacation. During the day you can see natural lakes, Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and other Central Florida landmarks. At night you can enjoy Disney’s fireworks, stunning night views of the Orlando and -best of all- 64,000 color-changing LEDs used at The Wheel for unique light shows.
My favorite five things about the experience other than the amazing views at night were:
- We had the capsule all for ourselves. Regardless of the size of your party you don’t need to share the cabin with anyone else.
- The capsules have a system with which you can connect your phone via Bluetooth and you can play your own music. How cool is that? We enjoyed our ride to the beats of my daughters’ favorite singers: Katie Perry, Shakira, Miley Cirus and Meghan Trainor.
- On our way to get inside our cabin, we stopped by the Sky Bar and enjoyed some delicious and refreshing cocktails.
- It has air-conditioning and stability control in every capsule which definitely helped to have a comfortable experience.
- After each group exits, an ICON Park associate cleans and disinfects the interior of the cabin to guarantee the most sanitized and safe space for visitors.
The Wheel is an entirely family-friendly ride and it’s appropriate for all ages. Are you ready to experience it? The ICON Park Play Pass includes (1) rotation on The Wheel at ICON Park.
Madame Tussauds Orlando
I have wanted to visit a Madame Tussauds branch for ages. I’ve been to Paris, Amsterdam and Las Vegas yet I hadn’t had the chance to explore one these world-renowned wax museums. So, I was super excited when I learned that the ICON PARK Play Pass includes (1) visit to Madame Tussauds Orlando.
There is a great deal of detail put into each wax figure and I also enjoyed the fact that each is displayed in a separate area along with props that give context. It was a lot of fun for all of us to see life-size wax replicas of famous celebrities up close.
My husband’s favorites were NBA legend Shaquille O’Neil and Hollywood movie star and martial arts master Jackie Chan. My daughters were both amazed to “meet” their dearest singer Katie Perry, the characters of one of their favorite animated movies: Shrek, and their adored Justice League hero Wonder Woman.
I enjoyed getting back in time to my E.T. childhood memories as well as “getting interviewed” by my favorite TV host Jimmy Fallon. So, when I tell you that at ICON Park there’s something for everyone in the family, this is what I mean. What celebrity would you like to see at one of these museums? Drop a comment and let me know!
SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium
If your kids are like mine, then they love aquariums.
You guessed it, the ICON Park Play Pass includes (1) one visit to SEA LIFE Orlando. This aquarium is smaller than other that we have visited. However, with 9 exhibits it makes for a variety of underwater adventures featuring sea creatures from around the world.
My favorite experience at SEA LIFE Orlando was seeing seahorses, sharks, stingrays and the jelly fishes. My husband enjoyed walking through Florida’s only 360° ocean tunnel. It was a surreal immersive experience. My daughters said they were most excited to see a rescue sea turtle, touch an anemone inside a touch pool, and play the interactive games.
Definitely a great fun and educational activity for the whole family. Make sure to stop by the shop on your way out. Tons of cool toys and souvenirs.
Museum of Illusions
There’s no better place to see more mind-blowing fun in Central Florida than The Museum of Illusions Orlando, which houses over 50 exhibits. It’s amazing how nothing is what it seems here!
This experience is confusing and shocking but it’s also beyond educational. We enjoyed trying to figure things out and taking pictures once we were able to understand how it works.
This were our favorite exhibits:
- The Ames Room, where in one corner of the room you become larger than life, in the other you are shrunk down.
- The Beuchet Chair Illusion, a great lesson about how a person’s size is perceived differently depending on the objects around them. Gigi looked super tiny while Michelle looked like a giant kid. So funny!
- Infinity Well, this one was my personal favorite. It literally turned my world upside down!
- The Vortex Tunnel was crazy! The bridge isn’t moving but you totally feel like you’re spinning!
The Infinity Room, Swap Noses and Clone Table were pretty cool too. Overall a very fun activity for adults and little ones alike.
The ICON Park Play Pass includes (1) visit to the Museum of Illusions Orlando. Reservations are required. It takes about half an hour to see the whole attraction.
Pearl Express Train
It was super nice to be able to take a tour of ICON Park aboard the Pearl Express Train as part of the benefits included with the ICON Park Play Pass. This cute and colorful little train fits the whole family in one cabin and it will allow you to see around. We made this ride at the very beginning for a little recon of the park.
The train departs from in front of The Wheelhouse throughout the day, and is fun for everyone. An ICON Park associate will take a picture of your group and you will have the option of buying a print at the end of the ride. Of course, we purchased ours as a special keepsake of our visit.
In the Game Arcade
The ICON Park Play Pass includes a $5 Game Card to test your luck at In The Game, an experience filled with the latest in arcade games. If your family is up for a little friendly competition you could end up reaching new records and earning amazing prizes!
7D Dark Ride Adventure
The ICON Park Play Pass includes (1) visit to the 7D Dark Ride Adventure which is located right by In The Game arcade. This is an interactive game where the whole family can participate and play as a team. The experience inside this 7D Motion Theater will take virtual reality to a whole new level. You will feel movement, changes in temperature and air, you will even feel drops of water. Amazing, isn’t it?
There’s several themes you can choose from for the game, from zombies to cowboys. It is a short experience that lasts only minutes. But make sure to include it in your schedule. It was a whole lot of fun!
2. Dining Discounts at Select ICON Park locations
At ICON Park there’s more than 40 restaurants and bars to choose from. We had lunch at famous Shake Shack and a delicious dinner with friends at Carrabba’s Italian Grill. We are a sweet tooth family so, we also enjoyed ice cream at Haagen-Dazs. And the best part is we got awesome discounts as ICON Park Play Pass holders.
Additional exquisite options for lunch or diner are Sugar Factory, Sloppy Joe’s and Gordon Ramsey’s Fish & Chips.
