Yard House Restaurant Review

We are always in the lookout for great family-friendly restaurants in Roseville or in other areas of Sacramento as well as in fun destinations. When we moved to the Placer County area we noticed that Yard House is usually crowded during the weekends, so we decided to find out what was so special about it. Duh! If it’s always full it must be good, but is it kid-friendly? Here is my review from a family standpoint.

Quality

I will summarize it in one phrase: Our meal was delicious!!! I had the Mediterranean Salmon with mashed potatoes, asparagus, and a rich vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed a Vodka Shrimp Pasta, angel hair, tomato cream sauce, parmesan.

Customer Service

Despite being crowded we found top-notch customer service. Our waitress was very efficient and friendly with great attention to detail.

Atmosphere

We had dinner in the outdoor area. We absolutely loved it. It has ceiling fans for when it’s hot and warmers for when it’s cold. The decorations and ambiance were just perfect.

Prices

The Yard House menu prices reflect the quality that you get. This is a luxury restaurant. It is not the right place if you are on a budget. Nonetheless, if you can afford it, it’s worth every penny.

Kids Friendly

At Yard House in Roseville, they have crayons and coloring pages for kids as well as a special menu which includes dessert with their meal. There is a changing table in the restroom. The personnel was very kind to my girls. The menu for the little ones has options for all kinds of picky eaters, from pizza to my girls’ favorite, Mac & Cheese.

Location

Yard House is conveniently located at the Fountains in Roseville. Easy access. Beautiful place. Best of all, there is plenty of parking available

Convenience

They offer a variety of payment options and they have take out boxes available. While other restaurants had a waiting time of over an hour (It was Friday night) this place had a waiting time of 20 minutes. They do make reservations and have gift cards available. One thing I would recommend is having two restrooms. The place is huge and they only have one restroom area. We had to walk across the whole restaurant to get there.

Menu Options

The Yard House menu has an extensive menu with options for everybody. From Asian to Mexican. From steak to fish. From bites to full entrees. Note there are two different menus depending on if you are having lunch or dinner.

Cleanliness

The facilities are very well maintained. Nice and clean.

Special Recommendation

Visit the Yard House Roseville during Happy Hour: Monday – Friday 3:00PM – 6:00PM. The Yard House drink menu offers a great variety of options. I tried classic mojito and it was amazing! Additionally, try the guacamole as an appetizer and the creme brûlée for dessert!

Overall, we had a very pleasant experience. I strongly recommend it if you are able to afford it. We are looking forward to going back.
