Best Gift Ever for Babies and Kids

A Customized Lullaby!

There is a reason why I’m sure you’ll knock it out of the park. It’s because I’ve experienced it first hand.

My girls MM and Gigi received this gift from my fellow mommy blogger and friend Stephanie Leavell from Music for Kiddos, the first web resource for professionally recorded personalized lullabies for babies and kids.

And their reaction was priceless.

I contacted Stephanie and the process to get the songs was very simple.

She sent me a brief questionnaire. I provided the name of each girl, two words describing a feature I love about them, five words I’d use to describe them and the names of family members I wanted mentioned in the song.

For example, my little one goes by Gigi. I love her bright eyes. She is playful, kind, generous, smart and sassy. The family members I wanted listed in the song were my husband, myself, her sister and her grandmother.

In my very particular case, I wanted to include both her full name and her nickname. Her first name is in Spanish and her middle name is in French. I loved that I had the opportunity to record her full name and send it to Stephanie to clarify pronunciation.

Also, I wanted the family members listed in Spanish, Papi (Daddy) Mami (Mommy), MM (sister- I prefer not to disclose her name), and Abuelita (Grandma). I recorded those as well and sent it over. The pronunciation in the lullaby turned out perfect!

I wish I took a video of the girls when they heard the songs for the first time. Their eyes were filled with joy, surprise, and love. They snuggled and asked me to play it again, and again, and again. After a couple of times they fell asleep.

It was magical! Now they expect their song when going to bed. It’s part of a newly created routine, a time we enjoy together singing, cuddling and connecting in a very unique way. And for that I am forever grateful.

How special s this?! I mean, really! If you are attending a baby shower and you already know the baby’s name this would be such a special gift. Same for a little child who is having a birthday, or even for Christmas! Mark my word, this kind of gift is never forgotten.
